I am firmly against the current "we eat our young" mentality that is rampant in the healthcare industry, this serves to only drive ourselves apart. A true leader will show the same compassion towards their fellow employees that they do with their patients, a true leader demonstrates their greatness by building their employees up instead of breaking people down. I am also very passionate about education, too many people in healthcare perform the bare minimum when it comes to learning. This is a life or death field, I want the paramedic who responds to my family to be as knowledgeable as they can be, this is why I am always caught studying, because who knows, maybe my next patient will be my wife (heaven forbid).
