Lee Carroll

I focus on domestic and international arbitration and have advised clients in arbitrations conducted under many of the leading arbitral rules. My experience is across a variety of sectors including construction, infrastructure, renewable energy and natural resources. I advise investors and sovereign states on investment protection under bilateral and multilateral treaties, including corporate structuring with a view to optimising investment protection. I also advise on Australian sanctions laws. I have practised in London, Paris and Australia, and was previously a Law Clerk to the Honourable Justice Hayne AC QC at the High Court of Australia. I hold two masters of laws degrees (from the University of Oxford and from Queen Mary University of London, School of International Arbitration). I am recognised as an Australian-based future leader in Who's Who Legal: Arbitration and Construction, by Legal 500, a Recommended Arbitration Lawyer by Doyles Guide, and in Best Lawyers in Australia in the area of international arbitration, litigation and construction/infrastructure.
