Loved my time at Farm Credit - great people. I enjoyed and miss the agricultural community. My "practice" was concentrated in large, multifaceted dairy loans. I say 'practice' because, like an attorney or doctor, you are never really proficient at dairy loans. You learn as you go because there are many different loan types and uses on a large dairy operation, and the lender must keep track of all of them and intricately know the business.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn how banks make money. During my career as a corporate banker, I learned how to secure my investment like a bank, how to create cash flow like a bank, how to manage large real estate properties, and how to effectively convert my collateral back to cash to keep losses minimal.
