OrthoSensor Inc. engineers and manufactures wireless, disposable sensors for intraoperative use during orthopaedic surgery. Each sensor dynamically relays quantitative kinetic, rotational, and kinematic feedback to a real-time display for surgeon interpretation. As the biomechanical and clinical research associate, I was responsible for: *Managing raw study data/data mining *Generating novel ideas and hypotheses for scientific exploration *Executing appropriate methodology to test various study hypotheses *Performing statistical and qualitative analysis of all clinical and biomechanical data *Preparing and submitting full-length scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication *Presenting, at various venues, all scientific results *Educating surgeons and allied health members on quantitative interpretation of intraoperative, in-vivo biomechanics

The Harris Orthopaedic Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital is responsible for the development of novel materials in arthroplasty and spinal orthopaedics. Its research endeavors encompass the chemical composition of retrieved total joint components, to intra-articular pathology, to prospective clinical trials. My responsibilities included: *Coordinating six, simultaneous, multicentric orthopaedic studies: I was responsible for data analysis, statistical interpretation, radiographic review, and manuscript preparation *Positioning and imaging patients in radiology for radiostereometric analysis *Analyzing explanted arthroplasty components for in-vivo damage *Shooting/editing film in the OR for research regarding revision cases

This was a two-phase study conducted by the NIH regarding binge drinking habits amongst college aged students. The first phase attempted to evaluate the prevalence of binge drinking at a large university, while the second phase assessed the effectiveness of educational materials that would prevent the behavior. *Research Assistant: recruited/consented subjects.
