Lauro Ribeiro is a senior legal and compliance executive with over 25 years of experience advising multinational and Brazilian companies on complex, cross-border operations, regulatory environments, and strategic growth. He has built and led legal functions that operate as business partners to executive leadership, supporting market entry, corporate structuring, large-scale contracts, and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. Throughout his career with Hyundai Motor Company, DAF Trucks NV, Valmet Oy, and Grupo Risotolândia, Lauro has played a key role in enabling international companies to establish and expand operations in Brazil, while also supporting Brazilian groups in their internationalization strategies. His work spans corporate governance, compliance frameworks, public procurement, and highly regulated sectors, with direct exposure to board-level decision-making and stakeholder management. He currently serves as Legal Director of the Associação Brasileira das Empresas de Refeições Coletivas (ABERC), representing an industry that delivers more than 33.5 million meals per day. In this capacity, he actively engages with policymakers and regulators, contributing to public hearings in the Brazilian Congress and shaping discussions on regulation, labor, and public contracting in essential services.
