I perform opening and closing duties in addition to being part of inventory management team (shipping, receiving, spot counts, quarterly inventory counts, replenishment, quality control). I work with Shopify POS and in the backend with several apps. Sharing the companies story and amazing products to potential customers is a joy as I love being part of a B-Corp business that places high value on the people and the planet while making luxury fashion goods.

I was the owner and founder of Adventures of Little. I was a certified Birth Boot Camp Natural Childbirth Instructor and Birth Doula with a passion for birth. I operated my website and blog on Shopify while marketing myself as a birth class instructor and doula through social media, networking and referrals. Facebook and Google Ads were used as part of my marketing plan. I loved working with families as they were on their journey in one of the most vulnerable and special times in life. I facilitated a number of class options for students as well as worked on-call for birth doula clients.

Environmental compliance reporting including monthly and annual water and air reports for both provincial and federal regulations. I have a high degree of knowledge surrounding regulations and approvals for Suncor’s Base Plant site. I was the Base Plant contributor for the annual Sustainability Report which consisted of compiling the site's air and water data. I worked with a number of operational groups to gather data in order to prepare formal reports for governing bodies as per regulations and approvals. Extensive and precise written skills were required as well as the use of a number of programs to capture data and present them in monthly and annual reports.

I operated an online retail store that focused on cloth diapers and fun accessories. Sustainable and local products are what we loved! We offered educational workshops in addition to providing trial packages. I managed all of our marketing as well as our e-commerce site that was Shopify. After an amazing initial customization by Cedar Made, maintenance was continued by me. Facebook and Google Ads as well as small business networking, markets and trade shows. I did all the buying and seeking of goods with a focus on Canadian made goods. Items were sold and then shipped via Canada Post across Canada in a time that e-commerce was just starting to grow.

Inspector for approved and unapproved facilities under EPEA and the Water Act. I conducted inspections of regulated and unregulated facilities and followed up on environmental contraventions. I worked a rotating on-call position to respond to environmental emergencies and odour complaints. I balanced working with the public, regulated and unregulated companies and other governing bodies, both federal and provincial. Data review, on site inspections and corresponding paperwork was part of the daily activities. Training in Environmental Emergencies through Alberta Transportation, JIBC and joint sessions with the ERCB happened annually. Professional written and verbal communication was a focus. Additional training for sample taking, dealing with conflict and Indigenous Awareness were completed.

I participated in water quality assessment programs (surface and groundwater) for EIAs and regulated facilities, managed Phase I ESAs from start to finish, participated in Phase II ESA planning, sample collection and reporting, participated in Industrial Hygiene campaigns including sound, Asbestos abatement and mold abatement, assisted in various wildlife field work for EIAs.

The BTECH Environmental Engineering program was a comprehensive study of industrial processes and environmental abatement strategies, environmental regulation, contaminated sites and hydrogeology, and toxicology. All courses were finished with exception to the final project which I was unable to complete due to my complex employment.
