Designed and built proofs of concepts fraud detection and prevention infrastructure for early stage payment solution start-up. System is cloud-based and the stack includes PostgreSql, Couchbase, Python, Hug, ExtJs, SQLAlchemy, Docker, GitLab, and Rancher.

Responsible for the design and development of web interfaces and API layers to support growing medical messaging platform. Platform features included billing, call center, advanced scheduling, patient management, support of user-created filters and procedures, HL7 integration, security, and messaging. Interfaces designed to be both inward and outward facing, and to support mobile platforms. Interface work performed in ExtJS (classic and modern toolkits) and API layers coded using Python/Hug/SQLAlchemy, in a test-driven-development environment. Databases included PostgreSql, Percona MySQL, Couchbase, and MongoDB. Code managed and tested in GitLab, and deployed to Docker containers orchestrated by Rancher.

Responsible for design and delivery of rich interface applications in support of regional water utility. Projects included deployment of Enterprise Document Management System (Documentum), development of Project/Contract Management System, Contract Change Management tools, Maintenance Engineering Project Tracking, Engineering Drawing Management and attribution tools, integration of database applications with legacy spatial applications, and various other management and reporting tools for internal customers. Worked both as solo developer, and in team environments using UML tools and AGILE methodologies. Performed advanced Rich Interface Architecture and MVC development with DHTMLX, ExtJS, and ColdBox framework toolkits. All web development used ColdFusion Script and Oracle.

Responsible for redesign and enhancement of Account Management and Provisioning systems. Remodeled internal data structures to support new features, implemented multi-tiered services, enhanced performance, and scaled to several million accounts. Developed QA and conversion strategies for deployment to domestic and international production servers. Used Oracle 8, ERWIN, Visio, and DBArtisan in Solaris v7 and NT environments. Provided production support for legacy provisioning systems. Developed Client-Server tools for creating and maintaining pricing plan, provisioning, business rule, and account data.

Responsible for design and implementation of technical infrastructure to support large data content and box office service for partner web sites. Service used Oracle 8i and SQL Server v7 in NT environment. Application layer developed in ColdFusion and PHPv4 in a mixture of IIS and Apache environments under NTv4 and Solaris. Data provided to partners via framed links and/or XML. Served as technical liaison to service partners, and corporate investors.

Responsible for installation, configuration, development, and load testing of application and Oracle 8.1.5 database layers of web-based e-commerce and accounting system. Developed dynamic PL/SQL API to access data. Installed and maintained SQL Server database to support Remedy. Installed and maintained Sun Enterprise high availability cluster environment with Solaris 2.6, Veritas Volume Manager, and Cluster Server components. Developed and implemented disaster recovery plans using Oracle RMAN and Veritas NetBackup technologies. Member of development team for advanced 4th Dimension application/web server. Responsible for version control and all product builds.

Responsible for the design and development of Apple’s New Product Warranty system. Performed Oracle 7 database development including database design and PL/SQL programming. Developed administrative web interfaces to Oracle databases.

Architect for U.S. Navy’s Critical Skills, and Electronic Unsatisfactory Reports Systems. Installed and configured Oracle to support mission critical projects. Technical lead for Lockheed's Y2K data warehouse project.

Designed MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase database-driven, interactive web sites using Tango, Cold Fusion and ASP for corporate advertising campaigns and intranet applications. Responsible for evaluating goals and requirements of client projects for technical feasibility, technology, and developer tool capabilities. Made recommendations to technical staff. Trained production staff on database methodologies, including state maintenance for stateless architecture, data collection, and database generation of static pages and other web assets. Clients included Apple Computer, Pfizer, and Adobe.

Administered Oracle 7 database instances and programmed 4th Dimension client interface for Apple’s Global Schedule System. Developed client-side optimization techniques to support international clients. Made extensive use of Oracle cursors, triggers and stored procedures for database development.

Designed and deployed administrative databases to support Vice President of Co-Finance and Financial Advisory Services. Established support infrastructure for enterprise intranet. Installed, managed, and maintained Banyan Vines file and mail servers. Provided disaster recovery support and backups for network. Designed and managed remote access facility for support of users at the United Nations, World Bank, and International Monetary Fund.
