During my time on the course, I was responsible for project managing several different ideas including a soldering station, a hot food plate and my own personal project. Being able to start a project with no prior knowledge and seeing it through with research and dedication was something I found very satisfying. I also developed skills within both the electrical and electronic sector. The subjects I studied included; Engineering Design, Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Professional Engineering Project, Electrical and Electronic Principles, Digital Principles, Electronic Circuits and Devices, Electrical Systems and Fault Finding, Research, Engineering Management, Further Mathematics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Industrial Power, Electronics and Storage, Industrial Systems, Further Electrical, Electronic and Digital Principles.

* Installation and service of chiller and freezer cold rooms, remote condensing commercial units, multi-split air conditioning, VRV/VRF, ventilation, fresh air systems, water chillers, ice makers and bottle coolers. * To analyse, troubleshoot and repair control systems, pumps, compressors, pipework, fan motors and all other ancillaries. * Complying and working to all relevant legislation and following British Standards procedures and company guidelines. * The use of specialist refrigeration tools including recovery systems, vacuum units, refrigeration gauges and oxygen free nitrogen. I attended college once a week as part of my apprenticeship, where I completed workshop and class-based modules.

* Providing technical consultations and solutions, product selections, and showing how our products integrate with other related mechanical and electrical transmission products for a multitude of applications in different industries, such as :- automation, wastewater, stage & theatre, marine, oil & gas, aerospace, medical, robotics, automation, etc. * Handling daily sales and technical inquiries from customers and distributors for Mayr's product portfolio. * Perform technical calculations for customer application product selection. * Participation in projects with industry partners - providing technical before & after sales on-site support. * Working in parallel with the existing External Sales team. * Helping to bring another dimension to the engineering team as an Electrical Engineer. * Identify, secure and develop long-term business relationship with new customers and businesses. * Product training for distributors and interested partners/customers.
