About
Geoscience education and outdoor recreation are my passions, along with my entrepreneurial drive to improve field geology and outdoor recreation tools. I taught field geology for a decade, which led to my co-invention of the Axis Transit alongside my husband, Dave, who was also a science educator at the time. We prototyped in our garage and licensed the Axis to Brunton in 2014, which began our ever-expanding professional relationship with Brunton. In November 2021 our roles at Brunton took a big step - we are now owners and caretakers of this 130 year-old brand. For the first time in the brand's history, Brunton is a woman-owned, geologist-operated, family-owned Wyoming small business!
