-Responsible for obtaining prior authorization, insurance verification, and timely submission of home durable medical equipment orders. -Knowledge of CPT, HCPC, and ICD-10 codes. -Reviewed correspondence for denials, authorizations, and other related matters and follows up on initial claim status via phone and web portals.

-Coordinated patient care, scheduled follow up appointments, and submitted for prior authorization, as needed. -Worked denied authorizations and claims, requesting for medical necessity documents from the physical therapists, as well as outside clinics. -Responsible for answering phones, scheduling patients, and calling referrals. -Assisted billing department with collecting outstanding medical debts. -Managed patient accounts and collected copays.

-Assisted patients with home and prescription medication management, medical advocacy, crisis plans, and transportation to appointments.

-Maintained customer satisfaction with forward thinking strategies focused on addressing customers needs and resolving concerns. -Utilized ZenDesk and an online chat platform to assist customers with troubleshooting, assembly, shipping issues, and warranty questions.
