Taught and designed curricula, lessons, and assessments for ESL and Social Studies (Human Rights in the Dominican Republic) courses in 4-week academic summer camp for at-risk Dominican students aged 11-15 (July 2011 and 2012). Taught and designed curricula for semester-long courses in Adult ESL, Art, ESL and Computer Skills for students aged 8-15, and Internship (job skill development class) for 14-16 year olds (2010). Directed academic summer camp for 150 middle school campers. In collaboration with DREAM staff, designed camp objectives and assessments. Compiled and analyzed reading and math achievement data for campers based on diagnostic and final testing. Supervised camp counselor staff (both international and local Dominican volunteers) of 21. Addressed student discipline issues and conducted parent meetings. Coordinated with outside vendors.

Taught a 3-module (Critical Reading, Math, Writing), 30 hour SAT Master Class preparation course At St. Johns International School (Brussels/Waterloo, Belgium) for 11th graders (13 students)

Taught combined ELA/Social Studies (early American history) curriculum for two sections of 29-32 students, independently as a general educator and as a co-teacher in an Integrated Coteaching (ICT) model of special education inclusion. Employed Balanced Literacy methodology. Created Common Core Standards-aligned original lesson and unit plans following the Understanding By Design backwards planning model. Coached girls lacrosse team, member of the faculty council of the LMC chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, faculty leader of Acceptance Team (student group working to increase acceptance in the school community).

Awards: NESCAC All-Scholastic Athlete 2005, 2006; Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic All-American 2005, 2006; Women’s Lacrosse Captain, and recipient of the Jones Award for Outstanding Achievement, 2006. Completed School for International Training semester abroad in Granada, Spain, a field research based program including a month long independent field research project conducted in Spanish.
