Private practice clinic located in Toronto Assessing and providing plans of care for patients with primarily musculoskeletal injuries.

* Duration: 6 weeks * Area: Inpatient and Outpatient * Population/practice: Worked with pediatric and adult patients ranging from 9 months and on with a variety of neurological, surgical, burn and MSK conditions. Independently completed assessments, provided treatment and education to patients and their caregivers. Actively participated in inter-professional ward rounds on a weekly basis.

* Duration: 6 weeks * Preceptor: Gail Kirkwood * Area: Inpatient and outpatient; Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team * Population/practice: Worked with pediatric clients aged 15 months to 17 years who were months to years post-brain injury. Completed neurological assessments, and provided ongoing comprehensive treatment and education to clients and caregivers. Collaborated with inter-professional team members during rounds, assessments and treatment sessions.

* Duration: 6 weeks * Preceptors: Chris Ng & Sue Mahler * Area: Inpatient general surgical and trauma unit (6 South ward) * Population/practice: Worked with clients of all ages with a variety of impairments involving the musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological systems. Completed assessments, provided treatments based on client-centered goals. Collaborated with multidisciplinary team to coordinate home services, assistive devices, palliative care and discharge to various locations.

Conducted comprehensive assessments, provided manual therapy, education and active exercise programming. Worked with PTA and assigned tasks as appropriate.

* Duration: 6 weeks * Preceptor: Nancy Ma * Area: Private practice clinic * Population/practice: Primarily worked with adults with musculoskeletal impairments. Conducted comprehensive assessments, provided manual therapy, education and active exercise programming.

2008-2010: Seasonal camp leader for children and adults with mental and physical impairments. Responsible for supervising campers aged 4-50+ in a 1-to-1 or 1-to-4 counselor to camper ratio. Created and adapted programs for successful integration into camps and with peers. 2011: Director for New Strides, a camp for individuals aged 10-21 with physical and mental impairments. Responsible for contacting parents, organizing events and trips, and programming daily activities. Interviewed and trained staff counselors, and directly supervised up to 5 counselors on a weekly basis.
