Laura Mosher

My name is Laura Mosher, I am an undergraduate student exploring the sports management track while pursuing a minor in Business. I’m interested in the leadership, operations, and business aspects that drive successful sports organizations. I served as a lacrosse captain and was a multi-sport athlete throughout high school, experiences that helped develop my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I am now a student-athlete at UMass, where balancing academics and athletics has strengthened my time management, discipline, and ability to work toward shared goals as part of a team. In addition to athletics, I have worked in multiple service roles, including hostess and barista positions, which strengthened my ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure hospitality environments while maintaining strong customer service and professionalism. I have also volunteered with organizations such as Best Buddies and TOPSoccer, working closely with children on the autism spectrum. Along with my experience as a youth coach and camp counselor, these roles allowed me to work with individuals across a wide range of ages while developing patience, adaptability, and leadership. I’m motivated to gain hands-on experience within the sports industry and continue building transferable skills that support long-term professional growth.
