About

My professional career has been spent entirely in the field of education, but my skillsets and strengths cover many areas. Teaching middle school students provided me the opportunity to become adept at handling diverse needs and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. If you can successfully guide a group of hormonal adolescents to individual and collective growth, that's management! Working as an administrator the past several years has strengthened a different set of skills--establishing a common vision for 27 schools with regard to utilizing the resources of the business community, managing a diverse group of building facilitators and cultivating and maintaining relationships with literally hundreds of local businesses. We have taken some great strides and are offering many more opportunities for students to interface with business professionals and see the 'real-life' application of the curriculum they are learning in the classroom, but I still have many goals for growing the program and expanding the circle of positive influence for our students.
