I am an assistant professor at MBZUAI, affiliated with the University of Vienna, and Senior Scientist at the AIT. I am fascinated by how people engage with data, which is why my research topics cover Human Data Interaction, Data Reuse, and Sensemaking of data, models, and visualizations. This is one of my ongoing projects: https://talking-charts.vda.univie.ac.at/talkingcharts.html I have a background in Human Factors and in Healthcare. I completed my PhD at the Open Data Institute and at the University of Southampton, UK with a thesis titled "A user-centred perspective on structured data discovery".
