Laura Hu

My name is Laura, I graduated from Feng Chia University and department of foreign languages and literature. I majored in English and I also specialize in Korean. During my college period, I always tried to improve my language skills, so I exchanged to Hanyang university, where I joined language exchange club to enhance my bilingual competence. Moreover, my TOEIC score is 970(golden certification)so I believe my English ability is higher than average even professional. When I was in the second year, I won the champion of CDIO project. It included four elements of Conceive, Design, Implement and Operation and I learned a lot from this project, to use what I learn from the course into real world. My former job was a secretary in a real estate company, and I assisted with a variety of administrative tasks and duties which included manage an active calendar of appointments, negotiate with partner businesses, receive visitors and deal with real estate queries, be a liaison between my company and clients and help to prepare expense report to monitor company operation. I also had a part-time job as a sales representative from April to December 2016. throughout my job experience, I was trained to recommend the merchandise to customers, and because of my strong observation, I can find out what customer actually want then introduce the goods to match their needs. As a result, my manager gave me the authority to negotiate with customers about discount percentage. And within the half year, we often make strategies to promote our sports goods. I brought a lot of margins for my company. For example, I sell 60 clothes and 30 running shoes in just 3 hours. I’m a patient, outgoing, positive person. And I am self-motivated and team-oriented. I also have a great curiosity about things and knowledge that I don’t familiar with, I have a great passion to explore and figure out anything. And I think for all life of works, the necessary attitude for profession is perseverance. I have this perseverance and won’t easily yield to difficulties. I’m interested in socializing, especially with foreigners. Like to read books and go to the exhibition like art galleries and traveling. Because travel to other countries can not only broaden my horizons, learn different cultures but also make me more independent.
