I started Tasteful_Ideas vlogging/blogging (Videoing and website blog) in April 2017 when I moved over to Chicago for 6 months. The primary youthful idea was to keep my family and friends in the loop as to how I was getting on! Slowly but surely Tasteful_Ideas kicked off! We are now at March 2018 and I have my Website, Instagram, Snapchat and Youtube up and running! Hopefully come May when I am finished my finals, I will progress with my Youtube channel and start to hit the ground running with some Tasteful Recipes and a splash of how I try to maintain a balanced lifestyle!

I am currently doing an internship with Garrett Brands at their corporate office in Chicago I am working with the marketing, creative, social media & events teams. I am having a great time and getting to experience the lot! Garrett have recent bought a new product - Frango's which is featured in Macy's, so I am currently working on a project for Frango's. I am really enjoying my time at Garrett - they have a great team on board and everyone is so friendly.

* Full time hockey coach for Muckross Park College. * Coaching the Senior Teams in the school. * Motivating & encouraging the kids to play the best hockey they can help. * Working in close contact with the head of the sports department, Una McCarthy. * Time plan for each session, Organising a weekly fitness plan, working with individuals to help them improve on certain skills. * Coaching them at their weekend games every Saturday.

* Worked at social events making cocktails and pulling pints. * Handled cash intake. * In charge of closing the clubhouse at night. * Assigning courts to members when they arrive.

* Worked at the Christmas Craft Fair on a stand that sold cranberries, sauces and juices. * It was very enjoyable and involved selling for the full twelve hours each day that the fair was open as well as talking to customers about the products and getting them to taste and try the products. * The products actually sold out in record time and we had to ask the owners to replenish the stock. * There was also good comradery between the team and the other stand holders there.

* Ballymaloe Cookery School, has been delivering a first-class culinary education to students from all over the world since 1983. We are proud of our long-standing tradition of excellence and our 'Slow Food' philosophy. Ballymaloe Cookery School students gain an understanding of the fundamentals of organic food production. * Worked alongside the head chef who was in charge of the weekend markets. * Made different flavour Jam, Chutney, Pesto, and Marmalades. * Worked together to hit all our targets and fulfil all the orders. * Sat in on demonstrations given by owners, Darina & Rachel Allen. * Each week had different themes, for example, Opening Your Own Cake Shop, where they would give demonstrations and advice on making different cakes. * Given a signed hard copy of one of Darina Allen’s Cook Books and was told to apply for a full time position at the cookery school due of my hard work.

* Worked at events such as: Christenings, School Reunions, Birthdays and Sponsored Events. * Worked in the Orangerie Bar & Ballroom Lounge, in the bar and as a waitress * Adhered to the 5 star standards at all times throughout the restaurant. * Served customers food and drinks and dealt with payments for guests. * Handled cash and money flow. Dropping money into the safe after shifts over. * Offered a full time position after my internship ended.

The degree of Culinary Entrepreneurship offers great opportunities for individuals who wish to pursue a career in food and beverage culinary management. The international food and beverage industry embraces all areas of food and beverage such as, wedding planning, culinary arts, banqueting/culinary event management, bar, restaurant and food retail management. These areas have expanded rapidly in the last decade giving rise to a growing demand for professional managers. This growth both nationally and internationally has been driven by an increasingly sophisticated market place that demands quality and professionalism in an increasingly wider array of food and beverage services.
