Lead the Office of Sustainability in its Mission to serve as Richmond’s central hub for equitable climate action and resilience and its Vision that all Richmonders, regardless of their identity or neighborhood, thrive in a climate-neutral community. Focus on utilizing principles of High-Performance Local Government and Change Management to accelerate meaningful outcomes both within the organization and the community. Rely on human-centered frameworks such as the Social Determinants of Health and Trauma-Informed Community Building to curate relationships across sectors that enhance overall community and climate resilience. Focus on data and science-informed decision making processes that elevate sustainability and climate policies and strategies.

Sustainability and resilience lead focused on program and project management, policy development, change management, capital and budget planning, strategy development, and collaborative engagement. Working across Departments and stakeholder groups including team members, leadership, elected officials, and community members and groups to build lasting improvements while learning and celebrating history, strengths, and successes to create a more sustainable and just society.

Lead city-wide sustainability efforts including strategic planning, project management, marketing, communications, education, and outreach.

Provide technical assistance to local governments, universities and private businesses on proper hazardous waste disposal methods.
