*  Respond to telephone inquiries from beneficiaries, attorneys, other Medicare contractors, and insurance companies, as well as internal phone calls and email. *  Research claims dates and applicable guidelines, make requests for refunds, and provide information to those making inquiries regarding secondary payer liability and action to be taken. *  Review and respond to requests for Conditional Payment Notices and Conditional Payment Letters. *  Identify mistaken Medicare primary payments using ICD 9 codes and initiate recovery process with REMAS and issues conditional payment listings. *  Compose letters notifying proper parties of case status. *  Perform follow-ups and prescribed Medicare requirements. *  Process checks for demand amounts. *  Commits to departmental goals and develops plans to achieve; verifies the accomplishment of departmental goals. *  Ensures that accounts are worked appropriately without going out of compliance. *  Process checks once demand for payment has been issued and issue closure notices if applicable.
