* In charge of the shop, Customer Service, working with people from different ethnic backgrounds and leading them to achieve company targets. * Training new employees, preparing rotas and pay roll, observe daily targets and make reports, sales promotions, documentation, come up with ideas to improve sales, organise staff gatherings and meetings.

* Coordinate maintenance planning and control for Indigo Airlines – a prominent customer of Sri Lankan Airlines Engineering MRO. Coordinated more than 40 heavy maintenance "C" checks and 20 "A" checks. * Prepared SB/AD modification documents and evaluate material, tool and man power requirements. * Prepare work programs, ensured spares, tools and manpower availability for accurate and timely execution of maintenance checks and decreased the turn around time for Heavy Maintenance C checks. * Drive initiatives for cost and labour optimization for maintenance activities thereby increasing the profit margin . * Involve in technical troubleshooting and give directions to Department Shop Floor for accurate and timely execution of maintenance tasks.

* Hands on practical experience on the Antonov AN24 and Piper Aztec aircraft. Carried out repairs to aircraft structures, removal, inspection, repair and installation of components, aircraft component and system identification and other engineering practices. * Experience on AN24B turboprop engine. * Trained on work shop tools (Hand tools and power tools) such as riveting guns, drills, grinders, torque wrenches etc... and precision measuring tools such as vernier calliper and micrometer * A good understanding of work shop practices, health and safety, Quality and human factors in a work shop environment. * Reading, understanding and interpreting Engineering drawings and carrying out duties on an aircraft according to specific instructions given in the AMM and CMM.

Followed EASA 66B1 license syllabus. Practical hands on experience in aircraft systems, structures and engines, hand tools and power tools, riveting etc... Researched on historical development of landing gears, weight calculations, relationship between landing gear and wing position etc. Group Project on the feasibility of establishing an aircraft scrapping company. Researched on staffing costs, parking and acquisition, disposal of hazardous material and recertification of usable parts. Mini group project on NDT on bonded joints. Researched on acoustic emission to determine existing cracks.
