Responsible for defining and tracking metrics for companywide R&D spend, analyzing the return on R&D investment, and tracking new product business cases from the financial perspective. Finance support for driving the new product introduction process and Finance Business Partner for the Corporate R&D group. Owner of annual R&D Board Presentation Package for the board of directors. In addition to my R&D Finance role, I also worked on broad range of projects at Atmel: I led the design, specification, development and implementation of the NPI Cost Forecast Tool, a web based automated tool to forecast new product cost. It was very well received and is now the standard companywide. I took over the corporate allocation, BU P&L and SAP/Hyperion finance system support function when the previous owner left the team abruptly. The transition was seamless during this challenging period. I also provided critical support on varies manufacturing finance projects such as the revamp of COGS reporting and modeling (MFG spend/earn model, product cost model), margin analysis for key products, inventory reserve calculation and automation, SAP internal order deep dive and more.

Close business partner to the product management team. Manage business unit P&L, Long range forecast, budget and headcount. Provide revenue, gross margin, discounting analysis by geo, channel and product. Represent finance in product development teams. Provide critical business intelligence to support product launch/EOL, pricing, sales program, inventory disposition and other key business decisions.

Operations Finance; Financial Planning & Analysis Manage quarterly quoting process and work closely with supply chain operations and contract manufacturers to ensure accurate and competitive product cost; design and manage metrics to measure the operations team from the cost saving perspective; provide critical cost related business intelligence to operations and FP&A
