Developed and implemented Battalion security and convoy operations and further trained 1200 Marines in preparation for combat operations in Iraq. Served as the Battalion intelligence officer, compiled intelligence reports and facilitated meetings with staff officers on current intelligence situation in all areas the battalion supported with communications assets. Provided leadership and guidance to 60 Marine platoon and 200 man auxiliary rifle company, and conducted over 120 convoys transporting over $30 million worth of communications equipment and hundreds of personnel. Additionally was assigned tactical command of the Battalion during all periods of attack, indirect fire and alert and all convoy operations. Managed and trained all Battalion security aspects throughout Al Anbar province on four major installations and 9 smaller encampments. Planned and directed installation of Battalion physical security measures for all of the Battalion's organic assets.

Supervise the daily activities of networking platoon which consisted of Telecommunications, IT, and a maintenance section. Developed and implemented a training plan in order to support newly acquired communications systems. Planned, installed and operated multiple tactical communications systems that supported up to 5000 personnel with voice, and data systems. Planned for and managed organic MRC-142 section (UHF microwave) and assigned TRC-170 (UHF microwave) sections assigned to the company for various operations. Managed and trained a fully staffed 24 hour IT and telecommunications help desk during these operations throughout Asia. Analyzed operational and maintenance procedures and streamlined them to decrease equipment down time and increase operational supportability. Worked extensively with healthcare professionals in order to support their unique IT and telecommunications needs while deployed to remote locations.

Responsible for the training and supervision of 30 Marine wire platoon to include switchboard operators, wiremen and technicians. Managed MRC-142 (UHF microwave) section assigned to wire platoon for field operations. Planned and Assisted with the development of telecommunications plans for various operations throughout the western United States, Hawaii and the Middle East. Installed, operated and maintained telecommunications systems supporting on average 10,000 telephone subscribers. To include full cabling, installation, HF, UHF, VHF radio circuits, and programming of tactical switches.

Responsible for contacting, screening and enlistment of qualified applicants into the US Marine Corps. Successful marketed the Marine Corps to civilian applicants and in a three year period enlisted over 100 men and women to serve the nation. Visited high school and college campuses to convey the benefits of military service to educators, parents and applicants ability to quickly resolve problems, and to influence people to make the best decision in their given circumstance.

Installed, operated and maintained telecommunications systems as planned by others that supported up to 2000 users. Served as tool room non-commissioned officer responsible for the accurate count and maintenance of approximately $25,000 worth of telecommunications tools and equipment.

15th Marine Expeditionary Unit Served as the focal point for operations and communications of the Forward Command Element (FCE) during combat operations in Afghanistan; including secure and non secure data, radio and voice. As the FCE operations chief directed the operations of two forward deployed companies, and various other staff sections within the commander's intent. Developed and implemented plans to support various size units with all aspects of communications support ranging from 3 Marine teams up to 40 Marine platoons with fully working IT, transmission and telecommunications departments to support operations in austere conditions. Research and requisition of commercial communications equipment in support of unique mission requirements, by utilizing a $100k budget to fill the gap in tactical communications equipment. Negotiate costs for commercial systems and specially engineered systems to meet FCE mission requirements. Trained personnel and developed standard operating procedures for commercial IT, voice and radio communications systems.
