Manage test programs and product development for aircraft mechanical/electrical controls. These products include landing gear modules, throttle quadrants, nose wheel steering modules, helicopter collective systems, push/pull controls and valve actuators. -US Patent 6,641,085 on innovative gearing design for aircraft steering. -Designed and developed flexible coupler, resulting in $1M+ increase to annual sales for valve actuator product. -Proposed and implemented in house environmental test capability, resulting in net savings of $170K for first year of operation. -Developed extrusion to replace four piece bolted assembly, resulting in lower cost, easier manufacturing, and quality improvement. -Prepare test plans, procedures, and reports for mechanical/electrical/environmental testing to meet customer requirements, and in accordance with MIL-810 and RTCA DO-160 standards. -Diagnose product returns and determine corrective action. -Perform FMEAs on new designs. -Develop equipment and software to automate product testing. -Conduct ISO 9001 internal audits.

Manage testing program to develop molybdenum chemical vapor deposition and plasma spray coating processes, including fabrication and test methods to determine material properties.

Provide technical leadership and coordination of automotive cockpit systems integration. Cockpit integration combines electrical, structural, HVAC, safety, human factors and styling to allow complete cockpit assembly and testing before vehicle insertion. -Direct concept development and manage three CAD designers. -Assist in cockpit development for C5 Corvette.
