Lara Sachs-Fishman is the founder of Storm Interiors, a Los Angeles based, design-build firm, established in 2000. Billy Baldwin once said, “Nothing is in good taste unless it suits the way you live. What’s practical is beautiful…and suitability always overrules fashion.” Lara’s work personifies Baldwin’s statement as she has a talent for merging disparate styles, colors, and patterns into beautifully expressive and functional living environments. Accomplished in a broad scope of design styles, Lara is celebrated for her fresh interpretations of living and working environments that address each client’s own personality and lifestyle. Working on only a handful of projects annually, Lara maintains her collaborative and personalized approach and employs what she refers to as a “bespoke, smart mix.” The Robb Report describes Lara as “…the kind of designer that revels in the power of customization.” After graduating UCLA’s School of Interior Design and Environmental Design program, Lara worked as a furniture designer, expanding her knowledge of the custom–design process, and joined Kelly Wearstler as Senior Designer for residential and hospitality projects prior to launching Storm Interiors. Some notable projects include a sprawling estate in Beverly Hills, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur’s San Francisco penthouse, a family-friendly traditional East Hampton home in Brentwood, a celebrity’s Spanish modern abode in the Hollywood Hills, top entertainment executives’ offices and a sleek lifestyle hotel in South America touted by Conde Nast Traveler as one of the top boutique hotels in the world. Lara’s work has been profiled in numerous publications and blogs including Dwell, Interiors, Lucky, Shelter, California Home + Design, The Robb Report, Luxe, Apartment Therapy, Daily Candy, Traditional Home and The Los Angeles Times, to name a few.

Storm is a boutique-style design firm providing comprehensive, turnkey design solutions to residential, commercial and hospitality clients. Through its commitment to architectural integrity and broad scope of design styles, the firm is celebrated for its fresh, refined interpretations of comfortable and inviting environments. The dedicated design team offers uniquely tailored solutions that balance progressive design and traditional sensibilities. Each project in the Storm Interiors’ portfolio begins with a definitive design concept formulated in partnership with the client. The carefully considered synthesis of functional space planning, color and texture, proportion, scale and lighting, is key to Storm Interiors' core design principals. Designers Call is an innovative, interior design service that delivers high-end design to those with limited budgets and time. Designers Call was the first to create a specially outfitted mobile design studio van, the DesignWagen™ providing door-to-door interior design services to clients throughout southern California.
