Landon Thompson

I am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Finance at the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business, concentrating in Energy and Corporate Finance. I earned my bachelor’s degree in finance from Louisiana Tech University, where I was active in the Student Managed Investment Fund and served as Treasurer of my fraternity. I was brought on as a Strategic Finance Intern at Triple-S Steel, where I gained hands-on experience with acquisitions, financial modeling, and due diligence across small- to middle-market industrials. I also completed a consulting internship in Costa Rica, working with an agricultural technology startup on financial strategy and growth planning. My experiences have fueled a strong interest in M&A and corporate finance, particularly within the energy and industrial sectors. I’m motivated by the challenge of understanding how businesses create value and helping leadership teams make key financial decisions. Outside of work and academics, I enjoy watching college football, staying active, and keeping up with current events and personal finance.
