V-Mart, founded in 2003, was born from a simple yet powerful belief: looking good and living joyfully shouldn’t cost too much- it should be within everyone’s reach. We saw opportunity where others didn’t- in Tier 2, 3, and 4 towns, where fashion and essentials were often inaccessible or overpriced. Today, V-Mart is one of India’s leading value fashion retailers, reaching millions across the country’s heartland. Guided by our mission to serve the youth and young families of Bharat with the best value, widest range, and a seamless digital-plus-physical shopping experience, we continue to push boundaries. Our purpose remains rooted in fulfilling aspirations and creating value for the entire ecosystem- customers, teams, partners, and investors alike. V-Mart’s growth has been driven by bold moves, including the acquisition of Unlimited—a 74-store fashion chain in South India—and LimeRoad.com, a popular e-commerce platform. These steps strengthen our regional presence and digital capabilities, aligned with our vision to be the #1 value fashion omni-retailer of Bharat. Before V-Mart, I was part of the founding team that set up Vishal Mega Mart and also explored ventures in printing and packaging, entertainment, and hospitality- each experience deepening my understanding of business, scale and customer value.
