I manage a caseload of up to 35 clients who are low income and HIV+ in need of housing search assistance due to being insecurely housed or homeless. I complete frequent one-on-one case management meetings, housing assessments/applications/search, and goal setting around healthcare/drug use/housing/employment and more with clients. I organize my schedule, electronic medical record, activity log, and files in accordance with government and grant requirements. I work specifically with the HIFA (Housing as an Intervention to Fight Aids) grant which serves clients who are either disconnected with HIV care, recently diagnosed, not virally suppressed, or currently diagnosed with AIDS.

Y2Y is a student-run homeless shelter with 27 beds with a youth-to-youth model that routes at risk youth aged 18-24 to case management, healthcare, and long-term housing. As staff director, I managed hiring, transitioning, and training of nine staff while interfacing with overhead organizations, managing guest conversations, evaluating shelter safety, providing staff support, case management for guests, and French-speaking guest support. I worked full time shifting as a director, overnight supervisor, and case manager for around 35 hours per week in the shelter. I also held regular supervisory meetings with staff and Phillips Brooks House Association and spent 3 months planning and developing training ahead of the shelter season.

I instructed four different introductory calculus courses for 20 hours a week during term time for 6 semester. I taught introductory calculus, integration, series, differential equations, multivariable calculus, and linear algebra. I also held weekly office hours, co-taught classes, led discussion sections, adjusted lessons, graded assignments, and met with specific students based on performance.

I work on the staff of student volunteers at Y2Y homeless shelter in Harvard Square which serves vulnerable communities of young people within the Boston area. In this leadership role, I work with staff to make policy decisions, manage the space and other volunteers during overnight shifts weekly, and make meaningful relationships with guests to help them find resources and pathways toward housing.
