• Involved in all aspects of the minerals ingredient portfolio for including R&D, NPD, Technical Service, Commercial Development, Operational Efficiency, Plant Support, and Portfolio Management. • Led a complete product portfolio restructuring initiative in collaboration with a cross-functional team (Business Management, Operations, Marketing, and Sales) to reduce portfolio complexities while increasing operational efficiency with minimal risk. • Developed the strategy and managed R&D efforts behind the scientific enhancements of our minerals portfolio to create a point of differentiation which resulted in the rebranding and launch of a brand of chelated minerals. • Managed NPD projects through the Stage-Gate process. • Led and participated in daily cross-functional teamwork with QA, Regulatory, QC, Business Management, Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, and EH&S.

• Embarked on a new direction for the research group with the synthesis of a family of ultra-small cerium-oxide nanoparticles. The discovery of this material has resulted in the exploration of its potential photocatalytic, electrochemical and free-radical scavenging properties through a creative approach. These ultra-small nanoclusters are the first in this field and has allowed for direct size- and structure-property relationships. A U.S. Provisional Patent Application has been filed for this work. • Synthesis and characterization of new iron-oxide clusters which resulted in the development of a model for predicting and rationalizing the magnetic properties of these complexes. Additionally, the model serves as excellent starting point for simulations and reliable fits of the magnetic data. • Supervised and mentored two undergraduate students. • Proficiency in inorganic synthesis, modeling and characterization techniques such as x-ray crystallography, electrochemistry, electron paramagnetic resonance, SQUID magnetization studies, IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. • Experience presenting research results at regional, national, and international conferences. • Mentored two undergraduate research assistants in their own independent research projects.

• Provided data analysis and modeling support to increase efficiency and provide new perspective for fundraising and volunteer recruiting efforts for the University. • Published a monograph titled “Using Predictive Modeling to Guide Resource Allocation in Annual Giving and Alumni Relations” through Academic Impressions. • Conducted mathematical modeling projects both as a collaborator and principal investigator to predict various donor and volunteer variables using SPSS Modeler and MS Excel multiple regression. • Responsible for complex survey research projects. • Conducted strategic situation analysis projects for various fundraising efforts throughout the University. Prepared reports and presented results to project clients.

Responsibilities included projects involving data mining, data analysis, survey design and analysis, predictive modeling, WealthEngine prospect screenings, and preparing monthly prospect pool statistics.
