I care for the sickest of the sick in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Ottawa Hospital. 🏥 My research focuses on making the ICU more efficient and improving access to palliative care services. Additionally, to achieve this goal, I founded the Resource Optimization Network, a multidisciplinary research group working to reduce health spending in this area without compromising care. I am a leading contributor and I help the department achieve its vision of shaping the future of Medicine not only for Canada but America as well. Many other doctors try to project this aura of prestige and frankly, arrogance and this makes them very unapproachable. That’s not me at all!
