• Product Ownership - Led the design development of the seat structure, seatbelts and airbags for a new electric vehicle platform by performing numerical analyses achieving a 5-star occupant safety rating in US NCAP, EuroNCAP and CNCAP. • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment - Proposed data-driven solutions to design, homologation and project management teams to address tradeoffs in cost, weight and assembly time while maintaining compliance with FMVSS regulations. • Vendor Management - Initiated and championed a yearlong engagement with an automotive OEM supplier, directly managing their team of analysis & test engineers providing post-sales support, to optimize injection molded plastic parts. • Validation Tests & Prioritization – Assessed program risk associated with various design proposals to drive prioritization of component-level and subsystem-level design verification and initiated necessary material testing to improve confidence.

• Technical Communication - Presented concise technical documents and pre-sales presentations to potential clients establishing the value proposition of our products while also maintaining communications to address their concerns. • Project Management - Oversaw and mentored engineers at the company's offshore office to manage operational concerns raised by nuclear energy clients in accordance with guidelines from the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). • Scripting & Automation - Created an internal suite of tools using bash and python to enable new-hires to access data on the high-performance computer cluster, generate new analyses and automate the documentation of key outputs.

• Design Development – Resolved high-priority operational issues reported on the manufacturing line by performing numerical simulation-based stress analysis that resulted in tangible design changes to components of the Model 3 and Model X. • Data Analysis & Correlation – Pinpointed root causes of discrepancies between physical test data and predictions from numerical models; and then compiling my learnings into standardized modeling guidelines adopted team wide.

Supervised by Dr. TJ Hall, Professor • Performed dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) of composite hydrogels under cyclic loading at varying thermal conditions. • Studied the dependence of acoustic properties (shear wave speed, attenuation and backscatter) on microstructure.

Supervised by Dr. H Arora, Research Fellow • Conducted tensile and compression testing of animal lung tissue and analogous hydrogels in a universal testing machine. • Developed a hyperelastic material model to represent the nominal tissue behavior in simulation.
