At Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., I lead end-to-end procurement for Distribution and Power Transformer components including tanks, radiators, corrugation panels, MS/SS fabricated parts, paints, and production & safety consumables. I manage both direct and indirect spend categories in a high-value manufacturing environment, driving strategic sourcing through digital procurement platforms. My role includes conducting e-RFQs, executing online reverse auctions, and performing detailed techno-commercial evaluations to ensure competitive and transparent sourcing decisions. I negotiate supplier contracts, commercial terms, and logistics agreements while overseeing pan-India PTL and FTL operations to strengthen delivery performance. Leveraging ERP (Infor LN) for purchase order lifecycle management and spend visibility, and supporting procurement analytics through structured data tracking and Power BI dashboards, I work closely with Engineering, Production, QA, Planning, and Finance teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow and supply chain efficiency.

During my Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) period in the Procurement Department at Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., I gained hands-on experience in purchase order creation, supplier coordination, and strategic sourcing activities. Developed a strong foundation in procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Led Quality Assurance activities across Formation, Finishing, and Dispatch operations in the Tubular Battery Division. Conducted product compliance testing, performance validation, and teardown analysis to ensure adherence to internal quality standards and customer specifications. Collaborated with production and process teams to identify quality deviations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Strengthened dispatch quality checks to minimize field complaints and improve product reliability in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Completed technical training focused on manufacturing efficiency and equipment reliability in a continuous production setup. Gained hands-on exposure to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), root cause analysis, and process optimization methodologies. Supported preventive and breakdown maintenance of mixers, filling machines, and industrial pumps while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. Contributed to operational stability and downtime reduction initiatives.
