* Critically examine constituents’ requests to conduct activities implicating U.S. Government’s international sanctions, including overseas investment, cross-border commercial transactions, export and import controls * Research and draft nearly 800 formal agency rulings, including advisory letters and specific licenses * Negotiate directly with foreign treasury and finance ministries to implement multilateral sanctions programs; maintain relationships with ally governments while advancing U.S. policy goals * Prepare oral and written policy guidance to high level officials including OFAC Director; draft correspondence to Members of Congress on behalf of Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence * Communicate orally and in writing with U.S. Department of State, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and various U.S. Embassies to develop interagency policy on trade and investment issues * Promoted ahead of peers to next GS level

* Developed first draft of federal judicial opinion, later published in the Federal Supplement, in court’s review of administrative ruling by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in import liquidation case * Researched federal statutes and case law to provide recommendations for international trade rulings
