Kristina Scala

With over 19 years of experience in founding and leading Aspen Academy, an independent and internationally acclaimed Pre-K through 8th Grade school of innovation, I am passionate about creating a culture of excellence, empowerment, and service in education. I hold a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver, and I have completed the Entrepreneurial Masters Certificate Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As the Founder, President, and Head of School at Aspen Academy, I oversee the academic, financial, and operational aspects of the school, as well as the development and implementation of the curriculum and programs that focus on academic rigor, character, leadership, and entrepreneurial development. I am also the Founder of the LiFE Program (Leadership, Finance, Entrepreneurship; previously known as Aspen Youth Leadership Institute and Aspen Entrepreneurial Institute) which aims to equip students with the skills, mindsets, and values to become effective and ethical leaders and entrepreneurs in their communities and beyond. Additionally, I am a Better Arguments Ambassador, participated in the American Enterprise Institute fellowship program, a member of the Institute for Science and Policy, and a Master Facilitator and Speaker on topics such as leadership, education, and entrepreneurship. I have been recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women and one of the Top 100 Woman Owned Companies in Colorado.
