ADC Therapeutics is a fast-growing, emerging biotechnology company with global ambitions. The company was formed in 2011 to develop proprietary Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs) based on monoclonal antibodies specific to particular types of tumour cells conjugated to a novel class of highly potent pyrrolobenzodiazepine (PBD) dimer cytotoxic warheads. It is primarily a laboratory role and I am participating in the screening and characterization of antibodies and ADCs as required for target validation, clinical candidate selection and IND enabling studies. The daily work includes the maintenance of cell lines, the analysis of receptor expression by flow cytometry and the evaluation of ADC and non-ADC therapeutics in cell based assays. Through this role I am directly involved in the selection and further characterization of our new product candidates that will be developed into the clinic. Experience: Maintenance and characterization of mammalian cell lines Expertise in multicolour flow cytometry Experience of development, running and analyzing of cell based assays Use of software packages such as GraphPad Prism, Flow Jo, Kaluza Collaborate with relevant teams and team members by presenting data with interpretation Writing scientific reports.

Responsibilities: The role involves the development and running of in vitro pharmacology and cell-based screening assays to discover and test novel agents and the design and implementation of immunological assays to demonstrate mode of action. More specifically, the duties and responsibilities of the Scientist, Drug Discovery Team include the following: • Developing and running plate-based screening assays using cell lines and purified proteins; 
 • Evaluation and implementation of immunological assays to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of novel agents; 
 • Production of purified antibodies and proteins. This will include cloning of receptors and expression vector design, construction and characterization; and 
 • Recombinant cell line subculture, screening and molecular characterization. Additional responsibilities shall include: 
 • Effective communication across a global team to achieve project goals; 
 • Independent data analysis, planning and execution; 
 • Authoring and contributing to written reports, presentations, publications and standard 
operating procedures; 
 • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date laboratory notebooks according to best practice; 
 • Working to expected safety standards and managing lab safety processes; and 
 • Keeping line manager and team informed of project progress 


• Blood from patients who suffer from B-Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia (B- CLL) were collected from UCL on a weekly basis • B- CLL were analysed by means of flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and western blotting on a weekly basis. • IHC on tissue samples were performed. • Cell culturing was carried out on B-CLL cell line. • I was analysing the obtained data and made I made summaries and statistical analysis (Paired t-test and Mann-Whitney non-parametric U-test) • I was teaching and preparing undergraduate students for their final year laboratory project.

• I checked the quality of translation of customised haematology syllabi and curricula in English • I produced the documents above in a format compatible with the Bologna agreement • I have arranged the conferences

MSc Project: Dissecting the role of retinoic acid signalling in the function of FOXP3+ regulatory T cells. The laboratory based project was carried out for 6 months in Medical Research Council (MRC) Centre for Transplantation laboratories in Guy’s Hospital London, UK. Graduated with distinction in project.

BSc Project: The CD180/ RP 105- mediated signalling in normal B cells and B-CLL (B- chronic lymphocytic leukaemia) cells. The project involved laboratory work for 9 months at cancer research lab at University of Westminster with collaboration of UCL.
