I co-produced and was in charge of shooting behind the scenes footage for the short art film "Train Whistle in the Night", directed by Jason Chua.

I co-produced the short film "We", a relationship drama / art film directed by David Tomlin, and was mainly in charge of getting cast and crew members on board.

Shot on the Canon C300 Mark II and currently in post-production, the short horror film “Carey” is a personal passion project, which gave me valuable leadership experience, as I organized, managed, and led a cast and crew of 17 people, including a 7-year-old child.

* ● Engaged to make a promotional video for the Hearts Milk Bank Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign. * ● Responsible for setting up and filming interviews and b-roll footage, as well as editing the video. * ● Collaborated with the client in deciding the direction and focus of the video and the campaign itself.

I was the Production Manager on the set of Dhruv Tripathi's short film "A Matter of Time" and Kornpat Pawakranond's short film "The Piano".

I worked as a Set Dresser and Production Assistant on the Arjun ‘Frozen (feat. Sway)’ music video (shot on a RED Dragon) and as a Production Assistant on the DJ Raj 'AFSOS (feat. Sonu Bhullar)' music video (shot on an Arri Alexa). I took charge of catering and cleaning, went on runs to buy various supplies, and stood by during shooting to assist cast and crew. During the overnight shoot for 'Frozen', I also worked with the Art Director to create and decorate sets for the production, including building a realistic jungle set from scratch within an abandoned warehouse.

● Engaged by the Warwick Singapore Society to conceptualize, direct, shoot, and edit a promotional video for the 2013 Warwick Summer Games in Singapore. ● Not only did I display great mental and physical stamina in working long hours in 90°F heat, but also I showcased outstanding communication skills and ability to improvise in working with a large cast under an exceptionally tight schedule.

● My multifaceted role in the film & TV production company and publisher Psychology News saw me heavily involved in diverse projects from their development and pre-production to their post-production and distribution. ● My projects included the following: ○ “I Love London” – a portmanteau feature film made up of 11 short fiction films, all focusing on life in London (currently in post-production) ○ Untitled hour-long Everest documentary focusing on the life and work of British mountaineer and pioneering physiologist Dr. Griffith Pugh (currently in post-production) ○ Film of Cleo Laine’s “Shakespeare and All That Jazz” concert (currently in post-production) ● I was also often responsible for shooting A-camera, B-camera, or behind the scenes footage for various projects. ● In addition, I helped run the publishing part of the company, proofreading and editing books, finding better, cheaper ways to print our books, building relationships with new printing companies, and editing and sending out press releases.

Baba", directed by Fares Boulos and shot on an Arri Amira, is a short film about a young gay man and his father attempting to fix their broken relationship as the father's days draw to a close.

● Engaged to produce interesting and informative videos in the style of The Financial Times to promote the fund and increase its online presence. ● Under a tight schedule, I worked closely with the client to make sure the organization’s needs would be met, and the end results not only deeply impressed the client, but also exceeded the organization’s expected YouTube reach.

Being taught and trained by Oscar-winning director Peter Werner, I learned how to: ● balance the needs of and work productively with producers, writers, and actors ● be diplomatic and create a positive environment for all involved ● step into and adapt quickly to an existing production structure ● bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to an ongoing production ○ Receiving feedback from industry professionals, I practiced and developed my directorial vision and skills through analyzing and breaking down scripts, story-boarding, making casting decisions, scene blocking on set, and working with actors and crew members. ○ Under significant time constraints, I successfully wrote and directed an original scene, for the shooting of which I worked with cinematographer Jacek Laskus, ASC and a crew of 10 professionals.

As a partner producer at SIBE, I was responsible for taking on video projects and taking charge of the creative process, from the initial planning and preparation of pre-production to the final edits in post-production. Some of my projects while at SIBE included: ● producing two promotional videos for the Warwick Enterprise Partnership; in addition to directing, filming, and editing, my roles included coordinating interview sessions and being the interviewer ● filming 9 educational career coaching sessions for Warwick University's Centre for Lifelong Learning and editing the videos ● producing a live online broadcast of the Warwick Emerging Markets Forum, which involved setting up and operating cameras, a video mixer, and the broadcasting software Wirecast In a journalist role, I also investigated the possibility of integrating Education for Sustainability in the Film Studies curriculum and filmed interviews with university staff and students.

* ● Filmed TEDxWarwick salon events and edited the footage to be uploaded online. * ● Conceptualized and created promotional videos for TEDxWarwick events. * ● Filmed speaker interviews and captured behind-the-scenes footage for the documentary of the TEDxWarwick 2014 main event.

● Engaged by the school to direct children (ages 8-12) in a short film about cyber bullying, which was received extremely well by the students and earned praise from the headmaster and school council. ● Showcased flexibility, patience, and excellent communication skills in working productively and efficiently with children under an exceptionally strict schedule.

I hosted the hour-long, fortnightly radio show 'What the Film?!' on RaW 1251AM with Jason Chua and Ibtisam Ahmed. We talked about a great many topics pertaining to cinema, including a triple feature on female and minority representation in film.

I filmed an RDA conference and edited the footage for the use of the organisation.

● Directed, filmed, and edited a short documentary about an animal shelter's manager under the tutelage of professional documentary filmmakers. ● When filming, I showcased the ability to communicate effectively with my interviewee, make on-the-spot directorial decisions, and manage various concerns at once while under time pressure. ● Learned how to construct a narrative out of large quantities of footage and information.

● Wrote, directed, produced, and starred in a short film using professional equipment (including the Canon XF305). ● Participated in the production of 8 other short films, eagerly taking on various roles and duties. ● Volunteered to take responsibility for the post-production of a film that would otherwise have not gone past the production stage. Due to my effort, the film ended up being screened and delighting a large audience.

Through my studies, I have acquired the skills to meaningfully analyze and evaluate texts of the audio-visual media, which have in turn allowed me to cultivate my own artistic vision and become a particularly conscientious filmmaker. I authored a final-year dissertation, entitled, "Korean Pop Music Videos and the Promotion of South Korea’s National Interest", which earned a First Class mark. In my final year, I also took a practical filmmaking module, which grouped students in fours and tasked us with making a short film. I took the initiative to organize meetings and lead my group of students in the making of our original short horror film. I oversaw every aspect of each production stage, delegated tasks, trained my team members, and filled in for other members when they were unavailable. Our completed film earned us a First Class mark.
