I’m building a career in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on understanding how businesses perform and make decisions.In my current role at Deutsche Bank, within the Investment Banking CFO function, I support the Global Emerging Markets sub-division. My work involves preparing quarterly business reports, analysing revenue trends across asset classes, and tracking performance against plan. I break down variances to understand what’s driving over or underperformance, and provide clear explanations that support business decision-making.Previously, I’ve gaining experience in financial control, financial planning & analysis, tax, and strategy. This has given me a well-rounded understanding of how different parts of finance operate in practice.While applying for my Master’s, I spent a lot of time understanding different career paths in finance like IB, PE/VC, Corporate Development, Consulting and what these roles involve, how they differ, and what they realistically require. I continued exploring this during my time at Warwick Business School and HEC Paris (both with a merit scholarship), including areas like sustainable finance and newer developments in the field.Alongside this, I’ve worked with 20+ students on study abroad and early career decisions, helping them think through their options in a more structured and practical way.
