In my day job; I am a Clinical Supervisor in the Youth and Family Services division of Henrico County Department of Mental Health. I Oversee clinical and administrative operations of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. In my role at Henrico I supervise talented clinicians providing motivational interviewing in evidenced based group settings as well as individual therapy, play therapy and Evidence Based Practices and Assessments. Additionally, our team provides therapy and case management for youth with extremely serious emotional and mental disturbance. This includes the use of Trauma Focussed CBT, techniques of Mindfulness and DBT approaches. I am certified in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

Outside of my work in local government/mental health, I am pursuing increased knowledge in the areas of dreams, the unconscious, symbols combined with Art and Imagination. I am an avid artist in the area of Assemblage, Collage, Junk Journaling and Altered Book making. My vision is to bring both of these passions together, (Soul work and Art) in one place to share my, journey and to serve as a guide to others who may be interested. I will hopefully be offering small group settings and courses that will utilize these powerful tools together.
