I’m a Java backend engineer with around 6 years building production-grade distributed systems across banking, insurance, and retail. Most recently at SMBC, I led the decomposition of a monolithic internal operations platform into independently deployable Spring Boot microservices and embedded LLM-based automation using AWS Bedrock reducing manual analyst intervention on high-frequency trade reconciliation workflows. My stack runs deep on the backend event-driven architectures with Apache Kafka, secure API design with OAuth2/JWT, cloud deployments on AWS, and React-driven frontends when needed. I also hold a Master’s in Data Analytics & Information Systems from Texas State (2024), which gives me a useful bridge between backend engineering and applied AI/ML. What I enjoy most is solving the kind of systems problems that have real operational consequences slow batch jobs causing data backlogs, tightly coupled monoliths blocking deployments, AI features that work in demos but fail in production. I’m currently open to senior or staff-level backend engineering roles, particularly in teams building at the intersection of distributed systems and AI/ML integration.
