Managed Inquiry to Order (ITO) and Order to Remittance (OTR) sourcing for 3 product lines; Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, & Generators. Developed sourcing strategies & achieved cost savings exceeding targets. Developed procurement plans & drove fulfillment for short-cycled customer orders & forced outages. Improved on-time Delivery (OTD) & provided a major contribution towards timely closure of plant outages at customer facilities and increased overall customer satisfaction levels. Identified & developed new suppliers in BCC (Mexico, China, & India); grew emerging market penetration. Led cross-functional teams to improve customer proposal creation process, developed pricing process, and improved project budget /costing accuracy.

Managed purchasing & manufacturing schedules for one of the major customers in commercial aviation & defense industry. Improved OTD & reduced the overdue backlog on line-stoppage / critical items to its lowest level. Generated additional cash by reducing excess & obsolescence (E&O) inventory. Developed & drove implementation of continuous improvement plans on materials planning process resulting in significant inventory reduction & improved inventory turns. Improved shipping & document handling process resulting in reduced customer invoicing time (Six Sigma Green Belt project).

Managed Procurement & Materials Planning on 2 major product lines involving 11000 SKUs / part numbers. Directed consolidation of two major sites and a distribution center. Led Make / Buy decisions and developed new suppliers, negotiated commercial terms & conditions, & pricing. Improved the supply chain for Outside Processing (OSPs) parts; developed turn key suppliers resulting in reduced inventories, logistics cost, lead times and significantly improved customer service levels (order fulfillment). Drove additional cost savings by timely planning & managing phase out products.

Analyzed & implemented more than 1100 Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for Chassis, Electrical, & Engine components. Developed Standard Work Instructions & trained operators on assembly lines on newly designed parts. Improved Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy and reduced excess & obsolescence inventory costs. Managed launch of new models, coordinated MRP& Production Schedules for the pilot vehicles. Acted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SAP implementation team & resolved issues related with Electronic Data Interchange for the Just in time & Just in schedule suppliers.
