Protiviti is a global consulting firm on a mission to help their clients face the future with confidence, by providing services and advice in the areas of internal audit, risk and compliance, technology, cyber secuirty, and business performance improvement. In my role as a Consultant I have worked with a variety of government departments and agencies to provide assurance and recommendations for improvement across areas including new program/project implemenation, risk management, legislative compliance, funding models, performance measurement, procurement, records management, change management, and payment integrity.

I was part of the friendly customer service team at Travel Insurance on the Net. My role involved processing travel insurance policies through our online system, assisting clients over the phone and email with quotes and queries, and communicating with a variety of insurers where necessary to facilitate successful travel insurance experiences.

CA Student Reps are essentially on campus brand ambassadors dedicated to inspiring and empowering the accounting and business professionals of the future by ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge, opportunities, and experiences to get the most out of their careers.

I completed a three month internship in the communications branch at the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science in Canberra. I worked primarily with the strategic communications team assisting with budget communications, the development of a new stakeholder engagement framework, and researching and writing case studies to add to our case study database. I also completed internal training courses on 'marketing and communicating with influence' and 'effective stakeholder engagement'. I gained insight into to various areas of the professional communications field and further developed my written and interpersonal communication skills.

As a part of the 2017 Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand 'Achiever Programme', I completed a 2 week internship at accounting firm BellchambersBarrett. I spent one week in tax, and one week in audit in order to gain insight into the various aspects of the accounting profession. My duties included completing tax returns, working on a large depreciation schedule, assisting with an external audit onsite with the client, proof reading reports, and helping out with general administrative tasks.

Working at Baker's Delight required me to work in a fast paced team based environment in order to ensure successful experiences for our many happy customers.

I studied a double degree in Commerce (majoring in Public Sector Management) and Communications in Advertising, in order to explore my passion and enthusiasm for business from both creative and analytical perspectives.
