As CTO and Platform Lead at Simple Energy, I led the end-to-end vision, architecture, and delivery of the Gen 2 electric scooter platform, built from the ground up for Indian roads and designed to scale globally. Led cross-functional teams across battery systems, power electronics, chassis, vehicle dynamics, embedded hardware, software, validation, manufacturing, and sourcing. The Gen 2 platform achieved a 6% reduction in vehicle weight (129 kg) while improving ride quality, safety, and efficiency. We delivered an industry-leading IDC range of 265 km, increased top speed to 115 km/h, and improved braking performance with shorter stopping distances for greater rider confidence. Defined the battery and energy system strategy, increasing energy density to 167 Wh/kg, reducing battery weight, lowering electrical losses by over 25%, and improving overall energy efficiency. The chassis was re-engineered with higher rigidity and improved impact protection, creating a strong and scalable platform for future products. Led the vehicle software architecture with the development of SimpleOS, a six-layer platform spanning hardware, firmware, system control, operating system, edge computing, and cloud connectivity. SimpleOS enables OTA updates, real-time diagnostics, and supports 65+ connected and safety features. As Product Lead, anchored product decisions around Indian rider realities—range anxiety, traffic conditions, safety, weather exposure, usability, and long-term ownership satisfaction. I structured a clear and scalable product portfolio across Simple OneS, Simple One (4.5 kWh & 5 kWh), and Simple Ultra, ensuring clear differentiation across price, performance, range, and features. I also designed the long-term ownership experience around OTA-driven feature evolution and structured warranty programs.

As CTO of Simple Energy, I lead the design and development of innovative electric vehicles, focusing on delivering reliable, durable, and sustainable products. My leadership spans the entire product lifecycle, from concept to mass production, ensuring every vehicle meets the highest performance and durability standards. I’ve overseen the launch of key products, including the Simple ONE Gen 1, Simple ONE Gen 1.5, Simple ONE S, and Simple DOT ONE. Each vehicle was designed with an emphasis on reliability and durability. The Simple ONE Gen 1.5 offers 248 km per charge, while the Simple ONE S provides 181 km per charge, ensuring customers receive vehicles that perform in real-world conditions. My approach focuses on collaboration, technical precision, and continuous improvement. I leverage advanced battery technology, vehicle architecture, and digital simulations to create products that are not only high-performing but built to last. The Full Vehicle Architecture I developed has become the foundation for our next-gen EV platforms, ensuring scalability and adaptability. In manufacturing, I’ve optimized production processes to ensure quality and efficiency at scale. By fostering strong vendor relationships and integrating smart technologies, I maintain a focus on reliability while meeting growing demand. Additionally, I’ve streamlined business processes across engineering, sales, and service teams, ensuring alignment with our goals and rapid decision-making. My leadership fosters a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ensuring that Simple Energy remains at the forefront of the electric vehicle industry, delivering products that transform mobility and contribute to a sustainable future.

During my tenure as Head of Technology, I spearheaded the development of the first prototypes for our innovative electric vehicles. These prototypes underwent rigorous testing, including several road trials, to ensure their performance, reliability, and safety met our high standards. Additionally, I initiated the development of the next-generation platform, building upon the base architecture established by the initial prototypes. This next-gen platform aimed to further enhance the performance, efficiency, and features of our electric vehicles, leveraging advancements in technology and engineering. Through strategic leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams, I laid the foundation for future iterations of our electric vehicle lineup, positioning the company for continued success and innovation in the rapidly evolving automotive industry.

Institute of Technology at Chitkara University, Punjab, in a national-level competition conducted by SAE INDIA (Society of Automotive Engineers) involving the design, fabrication, and validation of a single-seater, four-wheeled off-road vehicle (SAE BAJA). Contributed to the design and development of the transmission system, including gear ratio selection, torque and speed calculations, drivetrain layout, and integration with the engine and CVT to meet off-road performance, durability, and efficiency requirements. Kalkura Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipments Private Limited is a manufacturing company specializing in commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipment. During my internship, I supported engineering and production activities, including the design and development of spot welding fixtures and production fixtures to aid manufacturing efficiency.
