Responsible for the generic system software requirements specifications. - Prepare and perform FAT/SAT testing and commissioning of new production equipment. - Identify improvements and develop new ideas to further enhance production of wind turbine blades. - Cooperation with sub suppliers developing quotes and evaluation of quotes. Worked with validation and DFMEA/DFA analysis, PCB layout and schematics. Participated at new product introduction into production. Written specifications and negotiated/discussed requirements with customers. Investigations into quality issues at suppliers, contract manufacturers and in production. Training of production personnel. Achievements: - Patented a new type of lightning protection solving all previous issues and offering a standard drop-in solution.. This resulted in savings of valuable time in the development process as well as costs for recurring external testing. - Development of test equipment for lightning tests. Saves valuable time since theoretical models, new components and ideas can easily be tested in-house. - Redesign of a product family and production test system. Previous testing took approx. 30min and suffered from quality issues due to rudimentary test methods and manual handling. New test-time decreased by about 85% to 4-5min with a much higher quality, yield and better test margins, total savings on a yearly basis amounting to 2.8 million Euro.
