I have 10 years of experience in risk management, management of the internal audit process, strategic risk financing, fraud investigations, business continuity and compliance activities within the education and aeronautical industries. My experience includes reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee and providing strategic risk advice to the Executive. I have designed and implemented an in-house risk, compliance and assurance governance system with an outsourced development team. I am a one of three Australian board members for the Pan-Asia Risk and Insurance Management Association (PARIMA) and am the Past President of the Australian Universities Risk and Insurance Management Society, a not for profit organisation. My favourite aspect of my role is teaching others to appreciate and embrace risk and consider risk in the light of the opportunities that it may present.
