Maddrey began her career in sales with Proctor and Gamble. Since then she has taught English and drama, worked in marketing for the senior industry, and most recently was Director of Resident Quality of Life and Lay Chaplain at Providence Place Senior Health and Housing. All of those careers share similar skills: the ability to communicate your message with passion and foster deep relationships that move others to action. These essential qualities have made fundraising for a dynamic university a perfect fit.

In this position, my main responsibility is to develop partnerships with parents, alumni, and friends of the University and encourage them to invest in the future generation of leaders through philanthropic giving and volunteer opportunities. I am taken by the energy and passion for excellence at HPU. There is a watchfulness of and sensitivity to the ever-changing demands of the global economy amongst both faculty and administration. They are constantly looking at new programs and majors to meet those emerging needs. Yet even as they look forward, they are committed to making each day rich for the students. This approach to teaching, learning, and leading blends scientific strategy and creative artistry in a way that enables students to navigate the world as it is going to be, not the way it is today. Parents want to know that they are making a sound investment and that their children will have the skills and innovation to confidently and successfully enter the job market. I raise money to support this aim.
