Kim M. Nolte

Chief Executive Officer @ Migrant Clinicians Network

About

I began my career in public health as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala working with Maya Indians. I saw firsthand how civil war, poverty, lack of education, chronic malnutrition and limited access to health care adversely affected children, families, communities, and an entire country. It was that two-year experience that transformed my life and ignited my passion for public health and making a difference in the world. Since that time, I’ve become a successful nonprofit executive and public health professional with demonstrated leadership and results. I have the talent to go beyond the numbers to visualize the full strategic picture and translate the vision, mission, and core programs to attract funders, allies, and partners at the international, national, state and local levels. My superpower is aligning people, systems and resources to achieve impact at scale. To affect change in the world we must change systems, policies, and structures, build strategic and innovative partnerships and touch, move and inspire change-makers and philanthropists to support big, audacious goals. I'm up for that kind of challenge. Core Competencies: • Strategic planning and vision • Stakeholder engagement • Resource development and fundraising • Board relations and leadership • Organizational and staff management • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills • Fluent in Spanish • Studied Latin, Italian, Portuguese and Mam (Maya Indian Language) *My opinions on LinkedIn are my own."
