The Emory Global Health Institute helps Emory University improve health around the world by supporting Emory faculty members and students engaged in a variety of global health research, scholarship, service, and training activities. GCAPP is a statewide non-profit organization founded by the actor, activist and philanthropist Jane Fonda with a mission to improve adolescent health in the state of Georgia. As President and CEO I: • Directed all aspects of nonprofit organization with 15 employees, 17 board members, over 200 partner organizations. • Built strategic partnerships across the state and country to work collectively to significantly drive down teen pregnancy rates. • Met and far exceeded fundraising goals securing funds from major donors, annual gala and grants. • Provided persuasive stakeholder communication and donor solicitation. • Led board of directors and staff to develop new four-year strategic plan. • Recruited, retained, and led exceptional staff and created an excellent work environment. • Inspired senior staff to exceed organizational goals consistently. • Organization recognized nationally and locally with three awards for programmatic success.

As Vice President of Programs and Training, I oversaw our adolescent health programs and statewide capacity building initiatives. • Developed and led Georgia's statewide collective impact initiative to prevent teen pregnancy with over 20 partners called "P3." • Conducted strategic and operational planning for GCAPP. • Assured the organization and its mission, programs, capacity building and technical assistance services were consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders. • Led the development, implementation and evaluation of statewide teen pregnancy prevention initiatives, • Effectively supervised four managers and 17 staff and a budget of $5 million. • Supported President and CEO and Board of Directors by providing communications and clarity on programmatic initiatives. • Developed publications and disseminated results and lessons learned from programs to the field and mentored staff to do the same.

• Co-managed national teen pregnancy prevention strategy with cooperative agreements with a budget of $4 million. • Served as an expert advisor in the development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination of a national teen pregnancy prevention initiative. • Provided technical assistance and guidance to Executive Directors of national and state-level nonprofits and regional training centers to implement and evaluate effective teen pregnancy prevention programs and disseminate the findings broadly.

• Managed reproductive health programs in Jamaica and Peru. Prepared annual work plan, budgets of $10 million, and reports for country programs. • Assisted Ministries of Health in Jamaica and Peru in revising medical and nursing school curricula to include updated and accurate sexual and reproductive health information and practices. • Supported Regional Director in supervision and support of day-to-day management of office with staff of nine. Served as Acting Regional Director while Regional Director was out of country. • Negotiated additional $1 million with USAID to implement regional HIV training center in Jamaica to serve Caribbean nations.
