Every successful business has an origin story. Mine began with my only $267 outside one of New York City’s busiest subway stations.I immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong at age four. By age 10½, I was learning my trade alongside my mother in a New York City sewing factory, where I developed the craftsmanship, discipline, and work ethic that shaped my future.At 19, I made the biggest decision of my life. Instead of choosing the safe path, I invested my only $267 in my dream, setting up a small card table outside one of New York City’s busiest subway stations to sell my handmade jewelry. Through freezing winters, pouring rain, and uncertainty, I learned that success is built on courage, resilience, and persistence.I was determined. I was resilient. I refused to let fear define my future. I had a vision for my life, and every challenge made me stronger, more determined, and even more committed to turning that vision into reality. Giving up was never an option.That vision became Bolufé Designs, LLC, a luxury fashion and confidence brand that has empowered clients for more than 30 years through transformational styling experiences designed to inspire lasting confidence.Fashion has been my business. Confidence has always been my mission.Today, as The Global Confidence & Empowerment Fashion Stylist, I help CEOs, executives, entrepreneurs, professionals, public figures, and individuals from all walks of life elevate their image, confidence, and personal brand.I also host The Kim Bolufé Show, bringing together fashion, confidence, entrepreneurship, and inspiring conversations.Throughout my journey, I have successfully navigated economic recessions, 9/11, the housing crisis, market volatility, and COVID-19 by continually adapting and reinventing my business.My journey has been recognized through Lifetime Television, three NASDAQ Times Square billboard features, and honors including Top 25 Global Impact Leader and Top Entrepreneur & Celebrity Fashion Stylist of the Decade.Today, I am building The Bolufé Brand through media, strategic partnerships, consumer products, and licensing.My mission is to inspire others to believe that where they begin never determines where they can go, and that courage, resilience, and determination can change the course of a life.My journey proves the American Dream is still alive.I welcome opportunities to collaborate, speak, inspire, create transformational styling experiences, and build meaningful partnerships.
