My role is to negotiate the acquisition land and bring housing developments to market by partnering with landowners, Iwi and the development community.

My role is in the Commercial Analysis and Investment team of NZP&M. I am responsible for the development and management of new products and services to encourage investment in to the New Zealand energy and resources sectors. This includes project and contract managing, large regional scale data acquisition projects, projects that add value to exploration data, and procuring exploration related services on behalf of the NZ Government. I am also responsible for the delivery of the annual NZ Government Data Packs that makes available new and novel exploration data to industry, potential investors and other stakeholders.

* The Pike River coal mine disaster took the lives of 29 workers in 2010. The NZ Government decided in November 2017 to establish the Pike River Recovery Agency. * My role reported directly to the General Manager. * Establishing best practice policies and procedures for the new agency. * Evaluation and procurement of, vehicles, services, infrastructure and expertise to plan mine re-entry. * Planning and implementing logistics for establishing the Pike River Recovery Agency. * Implementing logistics for purchasing the Pike River Mine including all of its assets and liabilities.

* Consulting to the Cook Islands Government: * Reviewing Exploration Regulations for Polymetalic Nodules. * Establishment of a manual of best practice regarding mineral exploration and mining. * GIS analysis * Engineering Geology: * Site investigations for the planned construction of Dams and Water Reservoirs. * Inspection of Quarries and Stockpiles to ensure product meets engineering specifications.

Technical and financial assessment of exploration and mining proposals. Promotion of the New Zealand mineral estate to potential international investors. Attendance at national and international industry conferences. Site inspections to assess exploration/mining opportunities and to audit compliance with work programmes. Offshore exploration drilling for Titanomagnetite. Exposure to underground mining geology. Operational advice fed into government mining/exploration policy and law. Direct briefing of Minister of Energy & Resources, Minister of Trade and Minister of Agriculture on select exploration/mining companies, major project proposals and potential risks/rewards to New Zealand.

Water Management and Erosion Control. Resource management of groundwater (dairy farming, forestry) and surface water takes (horticulture, agriculture). Input into Rotorua Geothermal plan to implement the installation of down hole heat extractors. Extractors provided residential and commercial heating while maintaining the geothermal resource.

Greenfield exploration for Gold in Liberia and aquisition and development of a Diamond and Gold project in Ghana. Due diligence on acquisition targets and involved in negotiation for sale and purchase of mineral projects. Managing and executing; mapping, trenching, drilling, sampling. Managing logistics in challenging post-war environment. Management of 30+ staff and contractors.
