As a Software Engineer I at Oracle, I’ve been part of the team behind the Language Narrative, and Workbook Narrate features, initiatives aimed at making data analysis more intuitive, interactive, and AI-assisted for end users. I’ve worked on developing and optimizing data-driven insights and narrative generation features within Oracle Analytics Cloud, helping users easily understand and explain patterns behind their data visualizations. Language Narrative: Built and enhanced components that automatically generate descriptive summaries and contextual explanations for visualizations, helping users interpret their data at a glance. Workbook Narrate: Contributed to the narrative generation pipeline, integrating AI and statistical models to create clear, human-readable insights from complex workbook. This experience deepened my expertise in AI-assisted analytics, data storytelling, and cloud-based visualization systems, while reinforcing best practices in collaborative software engineering and scalable system design.

During my internship, I worked on Contextual Insights, a feature designed to make data exploration more intuitive and insightful. The goal was to allow users to interactively analyze data points within any chart and understand why certain values diffe, for example, why one region’s sales might be higher or lower than another’s. We developed a system that automatically generates visual insights in the form of contextual charts. These charts are scored based on relevance, with the top recommendations displayed to the user in a clean, interactive interface. Consumers can then save these insights to a personal watchlist or export them for further analysis. This project involved combining data analysis, visualization, and performance optimization to deliver a smooth and meaningful user experience, helping non-technical users uncover trends and patterns effortlessly.
