Job Scope: 1) Global Category Strategy Development: a) Develop and execute a comprehensive, global sourcing strategy for Detector category b) Perform global market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, emerging trends, cost-saving opportunities, and risks. 2) Supplier Relationship Management: a) Establish and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers on a global scale. b) Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring terms, pricing, and delivery schedules align with business requirements. 3) Cost Management and Value Optimization: a) Monitor category spend on a global scale and identify opportunities for cost reduction while ensuring quality standards are met. b) Drive cost-saving initiatives and procurement best practices, such as strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and the implementation of global agreements. 4) Reporting and Performance Monitoring: a) Regularly report on category performance to senior leadership, including cost savings, supplier performance, risk management, and overall procurement effectiveness. b) Use data-driven insights and analytics to drive decisions and optimize the global procurement strategy. 5) Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing: a) Ensure suppliers adhere to sustainability goals and regulatory standards, including environmental impact assessments and labor practices. b) Collaborate with internal teams to align sourcing strategies with the organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability objectives. 6) Cross-Functional Collaboration: a) Collaborate with regional and local teams to ensure that category strategies meet both global and regional business requirements, compliance, and standards. b) Provide strategic guidance to business units on category-related decisions, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.

1) Category Strategy Development: a) Develop and execute a regional sourcing strategy for a specific category (Electric Motion, Detector, Interconnect, Sensors, Power Supply, Temperature) b) Conduct market research to identify trends, new suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities within the category. 2) Supplier Management & Negotiations: a) Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management processes to secure high-quality goods or services at the best possible price and terms b) Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across the region, ensuring mutual understanding of goals and fostering collaboration. c) Negotiate long-term contracts, ensuring favorable terms regarding pricing, quality, delivery, and other performance metrics. 3) Cost Optimization and Savings: a) Drive cost-saving initiatives, such as strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, and process improvements. b) Track and report savings, providing regular updates to senior management on procurement performance against budget or targets. 4) Cross-functional Collaboration: a) Work closely with internal stakeholders such as product development, operations, and legal teams to ensure that the category strategy aligns with broader business objectives and that procurement decisions are informed by cross-departmental needs. b) Support product innovation or R&D teams by sourcing new materials or services that can enhance product development or drive competitive advantage. c) Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure smooth delivery and operational execution of category-related products or services. 5) Risk Management: a) Identify and mitigate potential risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier quality, geopolitical issues, or other external factors that could impact the region's procurement strategy. b) Develop contingency plans to address potential issues that could affect supply chain performance or product availability.
