Khavon Thomas

As a photojournalist, I’ve covered various sports events and captured the action, emotion, and atmosphere of the games. I also edited and processed the images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, ensuring high-quality and consistent results. I contributed to the sport section of the Northern Star newspaper, which is the student-run publication of Northern Illinois University (NIU), where I am pursuing a BA in Journalism. In addition to my academic and journalistic work, I am a freelance photographer who specializes in music and beauty photography. I have worked with Lyrical Lemonade, a Chicago-based media company that produces and promotes hip-hop music videos, concerts, and festivals. I have photographed some of the most popular and emerging artists in the industry, such as Juice WRLD, Lil Uzi Vert, and Post Malone. I have also collaborated with various beauty brands and influencers, creating stunning and creative portraits that showcase their products and personalities. I am passionate about photography and storytelling, and I always seek to learn new skills and techniques to improve my craft.
